A Truck-Trailer Service Technician inspects, diagnoses, maintains, rebuilds, assembles and repairs transport trailers connected to or moved by a power unit including flat decks, dry freight vans, refrigerated vans, tankers, converters, boosters, jeeps, pole trailers, steering dollies, dump trailers and any other commercial pull-type units. Specifically, a Truck-Trailer Service Technician performs work on:
- electrical systems
- landing gear assemblies and trailer frames and bodies
- hitching/coupling systems
- suspension systems, tires, wheels, rims, hubs and axles
- air and auxiliary systems
- braking systems and hydraulic systems
- heating and refrigeration systems and ventilation devices
