A Relay and Instrumentation Technician performs some or all of the following:

• Diagnose and repair data acquisition and code systems
• Diagnose and repair devices and computers
• Test vital signal control relays
• Diagnose and repair power systems

A Die Designer designs all cutting and forming dies by:

• Demonstrating safe working practices and techniques
• Reading and interpreting a piece part drawing
• Conveying information to CAD program/system
• Determining the type of die
• Designing a layout of sequence of operations
• Creating a tooling design
• Dimensioning the die design
• Finalizing the die drawing/design
• Implementing construction of the die

A Locksmith performs some or all of the following:

• Repairs, installs, and adjusts locks;
• Repairs, installs and adjusts related door & frame hardware;
• Makes keys; and,
• Changes lock combinations.

A Saw Filer/Fitter:

• Maintains wood sawing machines in lumber or paper mills
• Files grooved, contoured and irregular surfaces of knives, saw blades and metal objects
• Repairs, sets and sharpens bandsaws, chainsaws, handsaws, circular saws and other types of saw blades
• Troubleshoots sawing machinery and analyzing faults for corrective or repair action

A Draftsperson – Mechanical performs some or all of the following duties:

• Develops and prepares engineering designs and drawings
• Operates computer-aided design and graphics drafting stations
• Develops and prepares drawings of industrial machines, engines, tools, and mechanical equipment
• Develops and prepares design sketches
• Completes documentation packages and produces drawing sets
• Checks and verifies design drawings to conform to specification and design data
• Writes technical reports
• Checks prepared contract and tender documents

Machine Tool Builder and Integrator:

• Reads and interprets complex engineering drawings, schematics, bills of materials and machine-tool build assembly documentation
• Builds precision in-process tooling, machine-tool parts and components using conventional and numerically controlled metal cutting machines and equipment, including saws, drills, grinders, lathes and mills
• Designs, devises and details assembly plans for the machine tool building and integrating process
• Builds, assembles and integrates pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical components, power transmission systems, conveyor systems and feeder systems
• Assembles and integrates subassemblies into the main assembly of stand-alone machine tools and multistation automated machine tool systems.

A Surface Blaster:

• Assesses the pre-blast area and site, controls the blast area, designs and implements the blast, loads blast holes, hooks up and initiates shot and assesses blast results
