If you are an experienced worker in a skilled trade but you have not completed an Ontario apprenticeship program and do not have a Canadian authorizing certificate, you may apply to have your skills, experience and qualifications assessed by Skilled Trades Ontario as the first step to obtaining a Certificate of Qualification in Ontario.
If you have an authorizing certificate from another Canadian province or territory you can apply to have your credential verified and no further training or examination will be required.
