Skilled Trades Ontario issues Certificates of Qualification in trades with certifying exams.

A Certificate of Qualification is an official document that proves that a person is qualified to work in a particular skilled trade in Ontario. To obtain a Certificate of Qualification, individuals are required to have passed their certification exam and have met all requirements to practice their trade in Ontario.

In compulsory trades, a Certificate of Qualification is needed to work legally in Ontario and needs to be renewed at regular intervals.

In non-compulsory trades, a Certificate of Qualification does not need to be renewed.

In all trades, a Certificate of Qualification can help in obtaining employment or marketing your skills to potential clients.

Confirm your eligibility to take a certifying exam to obtain a Certificate of Qualification.
